Minn. Gov. Tim Pawlenty: The Death of the Republican Party?
Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty has been quietly assembling a team of former Bush operatives to begin his bid for the presidency in 2012, according to an article by Jonathan Martin on Politico. He is considered by many in the Republican establishment to be the only electable alternative to former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. The Republicans had better hope they are wrong, because Pawlenty will never be able to beat even a severely-weakened Obama.
As a card-carrying member of the Bush-Giuliani-Romney RINO (Republican In Name Only) wing of the party, Pawlenty will suffer from the still-lingering massive disapproval that George Bush generated, especially in his last term. By assembling a team composed of former Bush re-election workers, he has created a tangible link between himself and the failed, unpopular policies and persona of the 43rd President, which the Obama team will not fail to use against him. The fact that Pawlenty was the runner-up for John McCain’s vice-presidential choice (before McCain chose Sarah Palin in a failed bid to attracted true conservatives) gives him another unsavory (and unsuccessful) association.
Finally, Pawlenty has zero national name recognition and his record as governor of Minnesota (which includes doing nothing to curtail a budget gap projected to be in the billions…
CC Permit Holders Can Carry In Arizona Bars Starting Today
In a small victory for liberty, those who possess a concealed-carry permit will be allowed to arm themselves in businesses that serve alcohol for on-premises consumption unlesss the business owner decides to disallow it and posts the proper signage. What the AP article by Amanda Lee Myers fails to mention is that this does not only affect holders of Arizona permits. Because Arizona recognizes the lawfully-issued permits of all other states, anyone who visits Arizona can enjoy themselves in a nice restaurant and not give up their right of self-defense. According to the law, those who are armed may not drink, and open carry, while legal in most places in Arizona, is still banned from those places serving alcohol. While not a total victory, this law further cements Arizona’s reputation as one of the best for firearms freedom, and is indicative of the growing numbers and political clout of those who choose to take the protection of themselves, their family and their propery into their own hands.

Whoopi Goldberg: Polanski Didn’t Commit “Rape-rape”
Joining other depraved Hollyweird celebrities in calling for his release from Swiss custody, leading ultra-liberal Democratic activist and fundraiser Whoopi Goldberg said that pedophile film director Roman Polanski did not commit “rape-rape” when he pumped a 13-year-old girl full of drugs and champagne and then forcibly had sex with her back in 1976, and then cowardly fled the country. This reflects directly on the pervasive moral relativism of the left. While, as a lover of liberty, I can let go of most statutory crimes (those acts that are illegal because 51% of the people in a room think they should be), the left defends even those charged and convicted of crimes that are on the books because they go against basic human decency, such as forcible rapists like Polanski.

Vigilante? Census Worker Found HANGED in Kentucky
In a story that the mainstream media is staying far away from, a US Census Worker, Bill Sparkman, was apparently found hanged from a tree near a cemetery in rural southeast Kentucky on Sept. 12. The FBI has been investigating because the word “FED” was apparently written on his chest. Suicide is not currently considered likely.
Two possible scenarios emerge; first, and least likely, Mr. Sparkman could have had the misfortune to run across somebody’s meth lab, still or marijuana patch. However, this possibility seems remote, because Census workers do not tend to stray far off the beaten path, and because those who would have some sort of illegal drug or alcohol operation and are willing to kill to protect it generally do not open their doors to Census officials. I believe that it is far more likely that Mr. Sparkman overreached with the wrong American. Census workers are very fond of asking for all types of information not required by the Constitution (the only thing you are required to provide is the number of citizens currently living in your home), and threatening fines if you don’t comply with their demands. POSSE COMITATUS: MILITARY GESTAPO IN AMERICA! (Video Included)
In a blatant and disgusting violation of the Posse Comitatus Act, US military (they appear to be Army) troops are seen in a new YouTube video snatching a G20 protester off the street and quickly shoving him into a car. They are obviously in a hurry, as they don’t even bother securing the detainee with handcuffs before they take him away. Who knows where they took him? For this to be happening on American soil is obscene. Thomas Jefferson said it best when he wrote “Standing armies [are] inconsistent with [a people's] freedom and subversive of their quiet.” This has certainly become the case with the United States military.
Besides this one incident, the government also deployed new acoustic weapons, intended for use in foreign wars, against American citizens exercising their rights to free assembly and free speech. This is an act of war by the government upon the people, and should be treated as such. Self-defense applies here, folks. If any person, whether employed by the government or not, attempts to commit an illegal assault upon you, the only response available to a free patriot is lethal force.

Displaying more of the current regime’s arrogance and disdain toward the “commoners,” Obamanation Energy Secretary Steve Chu said at a conference in D.C. that “The American public…just like your teenage kids, aren’t acting in a way that they should act. The American public has to really understand in their core how important this issue is.”
Not satisfied with the tepid response from Americans regarding Obama’s commerce-killing environmental and energy schemes, his Environmental Protection Agency is currently on a 6,000-school tour across the nation to propagandize your children on why they need to support the Pretender’s plans. While Obama does have de facto, if not de jure, authority over the executive branch departments, Congress should restrain him from using public funds for political campaigning, which this essentially is. Obama’s policies are anathema to mainstream American opinion: according to polling service Rasmussen, less than half of Americans (41%) believe that human activity causes global warming, and that a majority (56%) do not want to pay more in taxes or utility bills for cleaner energy, while Obama would like every family to pay at least $1,761/year more. Obama Wants You To Pay $1,761/yr. MORE For Energy!
The Obama regime has privately concluded that his insane “cap-and-trade” environmental plan will cost the average American family about $1,761 per year more on their energy bills, largely as a result of new taxes, according to an article from CBS. This increase would be equivalent to raising everyone’s federal income tax bill by 15%, and the Obama administration is ok with that. Other, outside estimates have put the additional costs as high as $3,100 per year, per family. Tell me, where are the American people supposed to find this money? Should they commit felonious crimes, such as fraud, as Obama’s ACORN supporters have done? Should they go into the coyote business, ferrying more illegals across the border to vote for the tyrant? Write to your representatives, and let them know that they let you get hit with any additional taxes due to Obama’s cap-and-trade proposals, that you will ensure that their fat asses hit the street come the 2010 elections.
